Buck, In 102 Words Exactly

Blogger Note:  New feature!  In 102 Words Exactly is a feature I'll be running--my guess is pretty frequently since its only 102 words--when I watch/read/eat/use something that is worth mentioning but don't feel like spending a lot of time on.  Not that those are lesser movies/books/foods/gizmos, I just happen to be feeling lazy that day.  Why 102 words?  Why not?  Enjoy the first after the jump.

Buck Brannaman is a plain spoken cowpoke whose methods of breaking horses defy convention.  That is, he doesn't break horses, he fixes them...and, not infrequently, their owners.  His own tortured past gives him a unique insight into the troubled animals he tames.

There is a mesmerizing scene where the owner of an aggressive colt is unable to lure it into the trailer.  The colt, already having bit a rider on the face, bucks like maniac.  Enter Buck.  With barely a move or sound, by some unseen force, he is able to coax the colt into the trailer.

Heartfelt, genuine and surprisingly fascinating.
